After hearing a lot of crap from people about my rankings I decided to rewatch the episode and redo my rankings because quite honestly…I wasn’t surprised that I was way off. This episode still didn’t do it for me though. I hope it’s better next time. But after rewatching the episode I realized:
- Lil’ Mama still sucks.
- I still think ASIID got the shaft.
- Super Cr3w is definitely making the final two.
Nothing groundbreaking I know, but the biggest thing I realized is how much better the Jabbawockeez are than any of these crews (yes even Super Cr3w). It seems like this season is all about who is the most clever and who does the most tricks. There really isn’t that much dancing. The Jabbas actually did a lot of dancing whlie integrating their storyline aspects and some stunts along the way. Anyway…onto the (revised) rankings.
- SoReal Cru (originally #5) - Great job by me having them in last before. Well I was wrong. They definitely had the best performance of the week. I still think they’re bottom two next week though.
- Super Cr3w (originally #3) - Feel the same way.
- Supreme Soul (originally #4) - Andyadontstop points out how SS rocked the Philly gear to show their love to Phresh Select. I agree…very classy move and it was evident last week how much respect they had for each other.
- Boogie Bots (originally #1) - I still really liked their performance but then I realized how much better everyone else did.
- Fannie Pak (originally #2) - I changed my mind. I’m putting them last.
i’m glad you said that about the Jabbawockeez…I actually think the same thing about Kaba Modern as well. SoReal is sorta like them, but they aren’t as tight in their choreography. Kaba always did those little things ya know? Like the little finger wave thing…man that was sick!
The sad thing is, Supreme Soul could actually be really, really good, but their timing is off a lot, and they seem very chaotic at times. They don’t move as one.
SuperCr3w by far has the best shot at the title this season though. If they can continue to incorporate more dancing into the b-boy aspects, they could go all the way.
You know what i’d love to see though? A full group of b-girls out there next season. Imagine a group of girls like the chick in Step Up 2 doing their thing! If an all-girl group auditioned and could be both sexy, hard and athletic….watch out!

well i actually thought super crew should’ve lost this week to asiid. that just tells me either america (or the producers) want to keep super crew in until the end. maybe tim donaghy is a producer or something.
